Screenplays by Robert H. Abel

“Scumbag Billionaires”—a musical that takes on Fats Cats and Bloviating Right Wing Radio personalities. This one can be performed as a stage play also. It’s obviously partisan. Remember “MacBird”? It’s in that vein. 65 Pages.

“Freedom Dues,”—based on my novel of the same name, it tells the story of a Boston printer at the time of the American Revolution and his relationship with his Quaker wife and his rebellious slave. It is, for the most part, a comedy, but of course there is very little about slavery that is funny. 120 pages.

“Ghost Traps”—set on the New England coast in the fictional fishing village of Warrens Bay, it pits powerful real estate interests against the family of Billy Harper, a lobsterman. It is based on one of my short stories with the same title, but updates and extends the basic situation to include a murder and a vigilante attempt to get justice. 90 pages.

“The Road to Oz”—a comedy based on the premise that the Chinese Central Propaganda Bureau has been writing instruction manuals ( for the many types of export electronic products) designed to drive everyone in America nuts. An enterprising group of college kids attempts to uncover the plot. In progress. Anticipate 90 pages.
